FARM PARKS
FARM PARKS ARE SPECIAL PLACES WHERE CHILDREN AND ADULTS CAN GET A HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE OF AUTHENTIC MOUNTAIN LIFE.
Here on Paganella, there are many farmhouses, some which offer accommodation, and smallholdings where you can learn about animals and their behaviour at first hand, learn how to make cheese, and taste traditional local produce.
Malga di Fai
on the slopes of Paganella above Fai della Paganella; at an altitude of more than 1,600 m, it is home to many animals, including cows, goats, rabbits, horses, chickens and pigs, a farm park which is ideal for children and families. The outstanding dairy products made here, such as cream, yoghurt and cheese, have to be tasted and are available to purchase. Malga Fai can be accessed via the Santel chairlift and a short, 30-minute walk.
Malga Tovre in Pradel above Molveno, in a pastoral setting, where they maintain the centuries-old tradition of bringing cows, goats and sheep up to the high mountain pastures to graze. At the farm, you can see cows, sheep, goats, donkeys, geese, chickens and pigs. An educational environmental trail has been created to clearly and entertainingly illustrate the animals and the work of the farmers in this mountain environment. The dairy can be accessed via the Molveno gondola lift; or from Andalo: drive to Val Biole car park and continue on foot (around 45 minutes). The route is easy and is even suitable for pushchairs.
Malga Val Brenzi
on the slopes of Spormaggiore; accessible from Santel via a 2-hour walk in the forest. A special place, where you can learn about life in the dairy, along with the animals and the traditional produce. At the farm, you can see cows, sheep, goats, donkeys, geese, chickens and pigs.
